Our Sangiacomo Chardonnay grows in the Catarina vineyard in the Carneros region of Sonoma. This vineyard enables us to mature the grapes slowly and evenly while maintaining a vibrant acidity. The Robert Young clone (clone 17) thrives in this area of Sonoma. We partner with a top grower, Sangiacomo. We treat the fruit with care during harvest.  The wine in the bottle is a reflection of the hard work throughout the year. The wines tend toward a northern Chablis style of food friendly high acidity, mouthfeel, and balanced flavors. We want the natural flavor of the Chardonnay to shine through.

We hand pick and sort our fruit to focus on the highest quality fruit in the vineyard. The grapes are brought to the winery extremely clean, where they undergo a second sorting. They are whole cluster pressed gently, and we keep the press fractions separate. The wine is partially fermented in a cool tank allowing for the natural esters to remain and retain as much fruit as possible. We finish the wine in barrel and stainless drum allowing for full lees contact and fractional barrel fermentation. The wine is aged on the lees and stirred bi-monthly. We bottle after 9 months to retain the freshness and brightness our vineyard offers.

With floral aromas accented by citrus, pineapple, pear and vanilla, this wine has vibrant acidity and is fresh on the palate. The wine is bright, and the flavors of pear, apple, vanilla, and honeysuckle show complexity. The balanced flavors on the finish leave a lasting impression.

Our Pinot Noir comes from a small family-run vineyard located in the southern part of Carneros in Napa Valley.

We partner with this grower and hand select our fruit of the vineyard. The Pinot Noir is a blend of four clones - Pommard, 115, 777 and Calera. Each clone is aged separately and then blended together after ten months. This approach allows us to create a blend that best represents the terroir.

We hand pick and sort our fruit to optimize the flavor in the vineyard. The fruit was destemmed, and lightly crushed into fermentation bins. The Pinot Noir is kept cool and reductive on dry ice for several days. We ferment the wine slow initially, and slowly to allow the temperatures to rise. The wine is aggressively punched down by hand daily during the peak of fermentation. Color extraction and tannin were closely monitored to achieve a gentle, elegant wine with light tannins and rich flavors. We ferment each clone separately and blend after aging. The wine was pressed off at dryness, and aged in 40% new French oak for a period of 10 months. We bottled in August of the following year to keep the fruit vibrant and youthful.

Our Pinot Noir has aromas accented by raspberries, strawberries, plum and rose. There is a spicy complexity to the fruit, and nice tender accent of vanilla and toast linger in the background. The palate is full and rich with flavors of apple, plum, spice and cherry. This unique blend of clones comes together to express the purity of Pinot.
